In government, for example, politicians aspiring for certain political offices in a democratic setting use persuasion, such as campaigns, to canvass support from the masses. However, in a non democratic system, such as a military government, the military government, instead of using persuasion, would resort to non persuasive means in achieving its aims. Military leaders use coersion to force their ideas on their subjects.
