Pls myschool correct dis according to invisible teacher this question is from Adverbs. Recently is an adverb of time while recent is an adjective. Here, the events describe are to be pinned down to the time of it's happening, and so, an adverb, recently is chosen, nullifying (a) and (c). Had happened recently I not correct because, to use had, there must be two clauses; there must be when/while /no sooner than/ hardly had ... When /before or after, to join the two clauses together. But here, none of these time Adverbs or adverbial phrases of time can be found. Also avoid of recent
