In writing, the first person point of view uses the pronouns “I,” “me,” “we,” and “us,” in order to tell a story from the narrator's perspective. The storyteller in a first-person narrative is either the protagonist relaying their experiences or a peripheral character telling the protagonist's story.

the person that wrote the book is an amateur. She is just mixing first person with omimisent. how did she know all that happened in the dorm when she wasnt even their roomate. for real, i write books better than Khadija sef 😬

In first person point of view the narrator Ummi is a character in the story, dictating events from her perspective using "I" or "we."

It should be Third person Ominscient because Ummi, the narrator knew the song Zaki was singing—that is The playr by Kenny Rogers(Page 67) which Salma did not know since she wasn't there at the time when Zaki wanted to collect the money from Kabir. Only Third person Omniscient would know the song and the lyrics of the song in such exact details.

This is wrong.
The answer is third person omniscient because all the characters emotions and inner thoughts are available to we, the readers.

That is how we know what was going on in Salma's room when Tomiwa brought back many things from her outing with Habib and his friend.

I suggest the answer should probably be : Third person omniscient and first person point of view, since the narration started with "they" (they were waiting for daddy)... thereafter followed the first person point of view, examples "I, we" and the likes... (we were. I paused outside their door.)
Please check out the first 3 lines on the first page of the novel.
Well if I'm wrong, I stand a chance to be corrected.

In first-person narration, the narrator is a person in the story, telling the story from their own point of view. The narration usually utilizes the pronoun I (or we, if the narrator is speaking as part of a group).
