I wish I had never met the man. Those were the words that kept replaying in my mind over and over again. It was a hot summer day, and I had just finished my final exams. I was excited to enjoy the long break, hang out with my friends, and perhaps take a trip somewhere. Little did I know that my plans would be completely derailed by the encounter with the man.
It all started on my way home from school. I was walking along the busy streets, lost in my thoughts, when I heard someone call out to me. I turned around and saw a man, probably in his mid-thirties, with a friendly smile on his face.
"Hello there! You look lost. Can I help you with something?" he asked.
I was hesitant at first, but the man seemed nice enough, and I was feeling a bit adventurous, so I decided to strike up a conversation with him. We talked about our interests, and I found out that he was a writer. He even showed me some of his work, and I was impressed. Before I knew it, we exchanged phone numbers and promised to keep in touch.
Over the next few weeks, I started to notice some strange things happening in my life. My grades began to slip, and I was always tired and irritable. I also started to receive strange calls and messages from the man. At first, they were innocent enough, but then they became more aggressive, and he would demand that I meet up with him.
I tried to cut him off, but he was persistent. He would show up at my school, my house, and even my friends' hangout spots. I was scared, and I didn't know what to do. I confided in my parents, and they advised me to report him to the police. But I was too scared to do so.
One day, I finally mustered up the courage to confront him. I met him in a public place, and I told him that I wanted nothing to do with him anymore. He didn't take it well. He screamed at me, called me names, and even threatened me.
That was the moment when I realized that I had made a terrible mistake. I had let a stranger into my life, and now I was paying the price. I wished I had never met the man.
