audience is correct, u can not refer to people in a certain place as crowd cos they are not just in a particular place for different purpose, neither can you refer to them as assembly or assemble cos they came at their leisure time, so also you can not refer to them as conventioneers or convention or a congregation cos its not a church program. As a group of people much in population, all for one purpose can be refereed to as Audience.
