Ya confusing me my school ur explanation is totally different from the selected ans and beside the ans shuld b A is test accordingly to rule of Concord and knowledge is a non- count noun it shuld take singular verb

my school the answer is A and not C bcos the presence of as well as depicts that the second subject is a false statement so according to the rules of concord the ans should be a singular verb following it
