According to the provision (options), C is the appropriate answer.
Because that was just a conversation between two persons and even though other options are to be modified, it will still not sound nice...
Take for instance, “You must had had a very good dinner if you paid N1.00” will not also work at all because Leonard was the one telling Geoffrey what experience he had buying food worth just N1.00
When I saw ’N’, I immediately assumed it can't happen in Nigeria; perhaps in the days of old.😅
So, C is correct ✅

If the word "just" was added then I can fully accept the answer couldn't
Because his telling us how he had a good dinner for ₦1.00 without us knowing if it was worth the pay or not
If only the word " for just" was added then we can assume it was a cheap price for the good quality meal
But since the is no other sentence that makes sense here then I think it's correct

to me, the 1st speaker is in doubt, he then told the listener that "you couldn't have had a very good dinner if you paid N1.00.
the 1st speaker is not sure of the amount the Listener had paid, but he guessed that if the listener had paid N1.00, he couldn't have had a good dinner
@My school, should be correct
