Note guys:
Little is for size (little man, little food, little money) and the opposite is large or much..
The word 'little' goes with nouns that cannot be given plural form (not adding 's'), same as much..
Examples are given below:
The little amount (not amounts) is enough.
Much courage (not courages) has to be given to him
A little time (not times) left
Much time is left

On the other hand,
Few is for number (few stridents, few houses, few cars) now note, few always goes with a plural noun (adding 's'), the opposite of few is many.
Examples below:
Few workers came to the farm today
Many times I've told you to stop stealing....
Note the change from much (when it was 'time' in the example above) to many (when it is 'times')
Much appears when the noun is not in plural form, same as little, while many is used in plural nouns, same as few.

Having known how to use little and few,
'A little' is totally differnt from 'little'
'A little' means just enough, while 'little' means not enough
Sane as 'a few' and 'few'
A few: just enough
few: not enough

Enjoy!!!

~little = non-counte (not enough)
~a little = non-counte (enough)
~few = counte (not enough)
~a few = counte (enough)

therefore d ans. is few(D)

Few and A Few are used for living things
meanwhile, Few is negative while A few is positive
Little and A little are used for non living things.
However Little is Negative While A little is positive
So the answer is Little since the sentence points towards something negative (can't afford)

“A little money” is correct, but “few” is not. Money is a collective noun (like sand, dirt, sugar) as opposed to “dollars” or coins” or 25-cent pieces” or “grains of sand”; the adjective “few” is only used when the noun modified can be specifically enumerated (e.g., two dollars, 73 dollars, 541 dollars, etc.)
