Loose is out, because loose means to untie or to unfasten something that is too tight..
The confusion now lies between Lose, lost and loss
Lose is a verb, lost is the past tense of lose.
eg, I can't afford to lose you because i have once lost my dear friend to an accident
Loss is a noun..
eg, the money should cover for your loss
