Commence means to begin, to start. The meeting had already started and was adjourned. You can't begin a meeting that had already been started, you continue from where the previous meeting (adjourn) . I have no words left as the options don't make sense

I think the answer is D cuz adjourn means postpone and the sentence does not indicate tomorrow, I.e it can be another any date.
