Briefly outline the measures which Nigeria has taken to improve the marketing of her agricultural produce.
Measures which Nigeria has taken to improve the marketing of her agricultural produce are:
(i) Improving the communication system in order to provide adequate information about the market situation to buyers and sellers.
(ii)The establishment of marketing boards which help to improve the quality of farm produce and their marketing.
(iii) Government has constructed and maintained more good and motorable roads especially in the rural areas to aid and enhance marketing of goods. (iv) Government has established more market places in the rural areas.
(v) Encouragement of co-operative societies which assist in distribution.
(vi) Provision of adequate storage facilities so that agricultural products are not taken to the market at once
