The selected answer is wrong:
In Hosea Chapter 4, God was angry with the priests so he gave Hosea instructions for them and clearly stated that they were being destroyed for lack of knowledge, in other words, wisdom, and not faith. They failed to acknowledge God so also God decided not to acknowledge them.
