On which of the following grounds will faith be null and promise void?
In Romans 4:14 (RSV), Paul writes:
"If it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void."
This means that if salvation depended on strict adherence to the law rather than faith, then faith would have no value, and God’s promise of righteousness through faith would be meaningless. Paul emphasises that justification comes through faith and God's grace, not by following the law alone.
