A. Jehoiakim

King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon invaded Jerusalem during the reign of King Jehoiakim (2 Kings 24:1–2). Jehoiakim was the king of Judah when Nebuchadnezzar first besieged Jerusalem and took away some of the treasures from the temple, as well as captives, including Daniel and his friends.

Later, during the reign of Jehoiachin (also known as Jeconiah), Nebuchadnezzar would again invade Jerusalem and carry off more people and treasures, but the initial invasion and plundering took place under Jehoiakim.
