Explanation

(a) Outline the features of the new life in Christ as stated by Paul in Colossians: Col. 3:1-17:

(i) Christians are to set their minds on things above not on things that are on earth.

(ii) They are to depart from all sinful practices e.g. fornication, impurity etc.

(iii) And put on the new nature, which is renewed after its creator.

(iv) They are to have compassion, kindness, meekness, and patience.

(v) They are to forbear one another.

(vi) Forgiving each other as the Lord has forgiven us.

(vii) Put on love which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

(viii) Let the peace of Christ rule our Hearts.

(ix) Be thankful always

(x) Let the word of Christ dwell richly in us.

(xi) Teach and admonish one another in all wisdom.

(xii) Sing Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in our hearts.

(xiii) Whatever is done in word or deed should be done in the name of the Lord.

(b) Three negative practices that have effect on Christianity  :

(i) Gossiping and backbiting/quarreling.

(ii) Greed and selfishness.

(iii) Examination malpractices.

(iv) Jealousy and envy.

(v) Ritual sacrifices.

(vi) Unforgiveness.

(vii) Covetousness and stealing.

(viii) Bribery and corruption

(ix) Sexual immorality.

(x) Alcoholism.
