Actually saul could have distroyed all the thing or animals and materials dat were in amalak it was becos he was scared of his people dat he did not distroy dem totally as commanded by God thereby disobeying God by spearing sum goat/sheep for sacrifice to the lord and also spearing the king agag of amalek, wen samuel hear d dis he was annoyed and displaced, and said to saul, obey is better dan sacrifice it was after dis dat sauls kingdom was taken 4rm him...

God sent Saul to destroy everything belonging to that land including the animals but while on the mission, Saul got swayed away and he took home a few animals to himself

God gave saul an instruction to destroy all the amalakites but he disobyed and spared the king agag informed the kenites and some animals and this incured gods wrath upon saul
