Ezekiel was among the first group of exiles taken to Babylon in 597 BC, during the Babylonian captivity. He was a priest and prophet, and his prophetic ministry took place in exile, where he delivered God's messages to the Jewish captives. His visions, such as the valley of dry bones (Ezekiel 37), offered hope and restoration.
