Yes we can use empirical fomular to get this but this is jamb and we must be fast and tricky. So we can get the answer fast by directly saying that as far as M is having a RMM of 27 it means the elment M is actually Aluminium. And Aluminium will actually give out 3 electron to be in its octet state while Chlorine will gain 1 electron to be in its octet state. So in this case we can use the idea of Electronic Configuration whereby we will exchange both electron..... So 3 will go to Cl while 1 will go to M( which is Aluminium). Soft !😆
