Ansa is D. Note that it is hydrogen ion nd not hydrogen atom. Hydrogen ion has no electron to share so it is only d ammonium dat does d sharing of electrons making it a coordinate or dative bonding

It's option D cos lone pair is needed in co-ordinate bond nd ammonia posses lone pair wc enables it 2 form ammonium ion wit hydrogen

Hmmm the answer is D am not surprise cause is machine that is marking it and u know what physics said about machine not 100% efficacy

I do not agree with option E as hydrogen bond occurs when hydrogen is linked to elements like fluorine, nitrogen & oxygen which has strong affinity for electrons. But when ammonia which possess a lone pair electron is been bonded with hydrogen ion the hydrogen ion accepts the lone pair from ammonia to be coordinately bonded (pardon my english).this also occurs when water molecules reacts with hydrogen to form oxonium ion.I go with option D

Recall hydrogen bond is when hydrogen bond reacts with nitrogen, oxygen and fluorine. So d answer is E because the hydrogen ion combines with the nitrogen in ammonia.

even jamb register self still fair the question. abeg ammonium na polar bond? or how he take be hydrogen bond. i go for D

The ans is d cos Hydrogen is the element supplying electron for sharing and there is no dipole

i go wit d cos if nt for co-ordinat covalent it can neva b

It is a covalent bond because of two no metal are bonded forming dative and 3covalent bond

The correct answer is:

**D. Co-ordinate bond**

### Explanation:
When ammonia (**NH₃**) reacts with a hydrogen ion (**H⁺**) to form ammonium ion (**NH₄⁺**), a **co-ordinate (dative covalent) bond** is formed.

#### How It Happens:
- In ammonia (**NH₃**), the nitrogen atom has a **lone pair of electrons**.
- The hydrogen ion (**H⁺**) has no electrons and needs two electrons to form a stable bond.
- The nitrogen donates its lone pair to bond with **H⁺**, forming **NH₄⁺**.
- Since both electrons in this bond come from nitrogen, it is called a **co-ordinate bond** (or dative covalent bond).

### Why Other Options Are Incorrect:
- **A & B (Ionic/Electrovalent bond)**: These bonds involve electron transfer between metals and non-metals, but in this case, there is no electron transfer—only sharing.
- **C (Covalent bond)**: While a co-ordinate bond is a type of covalent bond, the correct term here is **co-ordinate bond** because one atom (N) donates both bonding electrons.
- **E (Hydrogen bond)**: Hydrogen bonds are weak attractions between molecules (e.g., in water **H₂O**) and not actual bonds within a molecule.

Thus, the correct answer is **D. Co-ordinate bond**.
