U guys shud nt confuse urselves, option A to D are members of alkane family while option E alone is a member of alkene family so option is the correct answer

̉Hy, you guys u made a wrong option because these two option "A" and "E" are not member of paraffins(akanes), but rather they belong to (alkenes) because they compose from the general formular of alkene which is (CnH2n). Thanks

I love this...in the real sense option A & E are the correct ansa cos. Option A & E goes by the general formula CnH2n which is the alkenes formula, while option B,C & D comes to be by the alkane formula CnH2n+2. So from the question which of these is NOT a member of the paraffins (the alkanes) definately A & E. If d examiners in an exam chose E & I chose A they had better give me a pass .ehn ehn

Option a and b are nt corect.using d formular of alkane CnH2n 2 u will find out dat d moles of carbon dosn't corresponds wit d no of moles of hydrogen arithmetically.eg :if n=3 ,hence the equ will be C3 H2*3 2 =C3H6 2=C3H8 called propane.

D ansa is 'A' nd 'E'. If a nd e were alkanes, der molecula formulas wil be C3H8 nd C24H50 respectively....

The Alkanes Has The Formula Of CnH2n+2
and all options follows the given formula above apart from E which follows this formula CnH2n
so option e is the answer because it does not follow alkanes formula

this is because options A to D belongs to the alkane group while option E belongs to alkene group

stop confusing urselves the ans is A the formula for alkane is CnH2n+2,substitute and get ur ans
