N.b; at 100% humidity vapour pressure is said to be saturated which is equal to the atmospheric pressure.

The answer is B- there is a difference between vapour pressure and saturated vapour pressure.. vapour pressure doesn't really relate to boiling you can say any liquid evaporating has v.p as it's just the force exerted on the container by the gas molecules but s.v.p is the point at which the rate of evaporation equals the rate of condensation so it's the limit a limit on vapour pressure in the sense that when it is reached the excess vapour molecules begin to condense when this is equal to atp we can say the substance is boiling- bubbles begin of gas begin to form in the liquid and rise to the surface.. this is a tricky question..Typical JAMB..

Myschool please recheck the answer

The answer is a, because boiling point is defined as the equilibrium of both the atmospheric pressure and vapor pressure ie

"Normal boiling point" is different from "Boiling point (general)".
Normal boiling point is a fixed standard. So, it is the temperature at which the the saturated vapour pressure equals the standard atmostpheric pressure (1 atm or 760mmHg) while Boiling point (general) is the temperature at which the saturated vapour pressure equals the the prevailing atmostpheric pressure.

Therefore, since the question requested Normal boiling point, the correct answer is C.
