NH3 cannot be dried by sulphur acid because the ammonia react with the acid to form ammonia sulphide. The only drying agent for ammonia is calcium oxide (CaO)

drying agent for NH3 is CaO.. It react with sulphuric acid to 4m ammonium sulphide.

ammonia attacks the acid..the only drying agent for ammonia is quicklime or silica gel..

because ammonia reacts with sulphuric acid to form ammonium sulphate

U are wrong @ Thriton. It is Cao not CaoH. The latter is formed when Cao reacts with water (H2O)

the answer is NH3 ...bc ammonia is a base and will react w H2SO4 to form salt and water only...this is called neutralization reaction

Ammonia is a basic gas.... drying agents of gases are substances that do not react with the gas, and since Sulphuroc acid is an acid, it will be neutralised by ammonia

NH3 cannot be dried using H2SO4 because the NH3 would react with the acid to form (NH4)2SO4.
The only drying agent for NH3 is CaO.

Ammonia (NH3) cannot be dried with concentrated sulphuric acid because the Ammonia will react with the sulphuric acid.
Drying agents are not supposed to react with what they are drying

NH3 can't be dried with concn. H2SO4 because it'll react with it to form (NH4)2SO4 i.e Ammonium Sulphate as NH3 is basic (alkaline) in nature and H2SO4 is acidic.
