NH3 cannot be dried by sulphur acid because the ammonia react with the acid to form ammonia sulphide. The only drying agent for ammonia is calcium oxide (CaO)

drying agent for NH3 is CaO.. It react with sulphuric acid to 4m ammonium sulphide.

U are wrong @ Thriton. It is Cao not CaoH. The latter is formed when Cao reacts with water (H2O)

N2,Cl2 since they are neutral gases they can be dried by H2SO4 (sulphuric acid) also since HCL (strong acid) & SO2 are acid they are been dried by H2SO4 too.ammonia cannot be dried by it except with quick lime (CaO)
