please the answer is B
enernt rutherford was known for is planetary description of atom.
you can check it out in the New school chemistry page 47.thanks

planetary model was proposed by rutherford in 1911
Bohr only modified it in 1913...explaining quantized orbit using the hydrogen atom
right option is B
MYSCHOOL please make correction to this. if not, then you guys are misleading students

Some of u here are unknowingly misleading others...
Rutherford discovered nuclear model (presence of nucleus but didn't account for arrangement of electrons)
Perhaps, Neil Bohr further discovered and proposed that electrons revolve round this nucleus (the one Rutherford discovered earlier) in an orbit (in a specific energy level or shell)...

Rutherford's discovery of nuclear model did not include Orbital electrons... Take note and do not fail this question anywhere...

The answer should be Rutherford, he proposed the planetary model in 1911. He said that the atom has a dense, positively charged nucleus with electrons orbiting around it but he could not account for the quantization of electron orbitals which Neil's Bohr did.

The correct answer is **B. Ernest Rutherford**!

Rutherford first proposed the planetary model in 1911 after his gold foil experiment. However, Niels Bohr improved this model in 1913 by incorporating quantum mechanics, explaining how electrons occupy specific energy levels instead of freely orbiting the nucleus. So, while Rutherford laid the foundation, Bohr refined it with a more precise understanding of electron behavior.

The question asked who proposed not who modified so that's why the answer is Rutherford

The question says proposed not modified so it should Rutherford

Neil Bohr proposed the planetary mode l of atom, please let's carry out our research thoroughly before opposing an idea

Greetings, The Myschool Team.
The correct answer is B(Ernest Rutherford) and not C(Niels Bohr).
Neil Bohr's model is that of energy quantization, in which electrons have fixed orbits. He wasn't the original proposer of the idea. Here are some relevant references:
https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/rutherfords-atomic-model/
https://nuclear-energy.net/atom/atomic-models/rutherford
https://www.ck12.org/flexi/physical-science/atom/who-created-the-planetary-model-of-the-atom/
https://www.britannica.com/science/Rutherford-model
In summary, Ernest Rutherford proposed the planetary model of the atom, but Niels Bohr introduced the concept of energy quantization, which became the Bohr's model of the atom. Thank you.

please the answer is wrong
the current answer is B
Rutherford proposed the idea and even got a nobel prize because of it
bohr modified the theory and made certain correction but also confirmed what bohr did was correct

Ernest Rutherford: While he discovered the nucleus in 1911 and proposed a nuclear model, his version depicted electrons moving randomly around the nucleus without defined orbits. Though sometimes called a "planetary model" in a general sense, it lacked the stable, fixed orbits characteristic of the specific "planetary model" term used in science education.

Rutherford is not correct please. do research before saying something here.
Neil's Bohr model covered everything
