esterification can b defined as d reversible reaction btwn an alkanol and organic acid to produce esters as it end product....esters due to it sweet smell and flavours is used in d prod of sweets, perfumes and fragrance...thanks

esterification is similar to the acid and base rxn.in this, salt and H20 is formed.in esterification, organic acid + organic base will give salt(esters) and water.

esterification reaction>>this reaction involves the formation ester {ethanoate} by the reaction of alkanol with alkanoic acid to form alkanoates and water with the help of concentration of H2so4 which serve as a drying agent and catalyst with heat

Esterification is the chemical reaction b/w alkanol and alkanoic acid to produce sweet smelling ester and water

d answer is correct because Esterification is a chemical reaction that forms
at least one ester (= a type of compound
produced by reaction between acids and
alcohols). Esters are produced when acids are
heated with alcohols in a process called
esterification. An ester can be made by an esterification reaction of a carboxylic acid and
an alcohol.

Here is an explanation:

Esterification is the process wherby a carboxylic group combine with alcohol to form a sweet smelling compound known as ester

Esterification is just the reaction between carboxyl acids and alcohols to form esters

Esterification bin d rxn btw alkanol(alcohol) wit carboxylic acid to form esters nd water

C esterification

esterification is a chemical reaction between alkanol and alkanoic acid to form ester which give a sweet smell i.e use in making perfume .

Esterification is the reaction between carboxylic acids (-COOH) & alcohol to form esters, esters like ethyl ethanoate CH2CH3,ethyl methanoate CH2CH2CH3 etc,C

esters are also organic salt

Esterification => alcohol alkanoic(caboxylic) acid<=>ester water.....wit bakward reactn cald hydrolysis, saponificatn=>productn of soap by caustic soda(base),dehydratn opposite of hydrolysis(removal of water)
