To answer this quickly use this tip..
We have 4 10 12 and 14
In any given number representing atomic number.
Minus 2 I.e is duplet for helium
Now check if you answer is lesser than 8, equal to 8 or greater than 8. That for octet structure.
If 8 keep minusing.
(it must be equal to 8 or lesser than 8)

4-2=2 reactive metal
12-2=10, - 8=2 reactive metal
14-2=12, - 8=4 metaliod
But. 10-2=8. Inert...
So what is the answer now from here..?
