The correct answer is 6 which is not in the option. The question said shared pair
Ethene (C2H4) has a total of 4 C-H bonds and 1 C=C bond.

The C-H bond is a covalent bond (more specifically a sigma bond) where two electrons are shared (one from C and one from H). Hence there is a pair of shared electrons per C-H bond.

The C=C bond is a covalent bond (made up of a sigma bond and a pi bond) where 4 electrons are shared (two from each C). Hence there are two pairs of shared electrons in C=C.

4 C-H bonds = 4 shared pairs of electrons

1 C=C bond = 2 shared pairs of electrons

Total number of shared pair of electrons = 4+2= 6
