H2 + 1/2 O2----> H2O
2 : 1
8cm3 20cm3
Since its in the ratio 2:1, only 4cm3 of oxygen will be needed, and (20 - 4= 16)
Therefore 16cm3 of O2 will be remaininh

The option is correct.
2H2 + O2 ———> 2H2O
2 : 1
8cm³ + 20cm³
From the question, H2 is 8cm³ and O2 is 20cm³. 20cm³ of O2 will be halved due to the ratio of O2.

From what I have here:
In balancing the equation:
O² + H²--------H²o which is water
O² + 2H²o --------2H 0
The ratio is 1:2
I don't know if my balancing is wrong but that's it
