somethings don't just add up because if you study this problem very well you find out that CCl4 is an organic solvent and CCl3 is an anaesthetic, they are not for cleaning. Also trichloroethene and tetrachlorethene are not Haloalkanes but Haloalkenes so I think the answer remains indefinite😬😬😬

The ans is A. Due to d non-inflamable of tetrachloromethane and trichloromethane. They are both used as dry cleaning

Option A (Haloalkanes): Trichloromethane (chloroform) and tetrachloromethane (carbon tetrachloride) are indeed true haloalkanes (single bonds only). While they were used in the early 20th century, they were largely abandoned for dry cleaning by the 1940s and 50s "because they are highly toxic to the liver and kidneys".
Option C (The Industry Standard): Tetrachloroethene (Cl_2C=CCl_2) became the industry standard (often called "Perc"). Even though it is an alkene, it is the "correct" answer for the application of dry cleaning.
The Answer Is C
