Please mind the sign > greater than and < less than, so the chosen answer is correct

This is it from my view, electronegativety decreases down the group so to arrange the halogens in increasing order, we will start from the least and then to the highest ie from iodine to flourine.
Now come the signs: the sign that will best fit it is the 'less than' which will indicate that you started with the least to the highest.
therefore the most appropriate there should be l< Br< Cl< F. option D is correct
However, l still stand to be corrected

from the picture i sent earlier we see the order of reactivity decreasing down the group as
F2>Cl2>Br2>I2
hence the reverse shoud be the answer for the correct increasing order of reactivity i.e
I2
