Diesel oil and Gas: Diesel oil and gas sre nuxtures of HCs with 12 -25 carbon atoms per molecule. They distil over 250°C - 350°C. They are used as fuels for heating and diesel engines and as RAW MATERIALS FOR CRACKING PROCESS.
Bitumen and other residues: These are not fractions, but aomid residues left behind at temperatures above 500°C. BITUMEN or PITCH IS USED FOR SURFACING ROADS AND AIRFIELDS, while other residue may be used as FUEL, in PROTECTIVE PAINTS, as well as in PIPECOATING and WATERPROOFING ROOFS.
