I am glad we all agreed that Bromine water is used to test for the presence of unsaturated hydrocarbons (Alkenes and Alkynes). However, take a close look at the options, the only option between the two unsaturated hydrocarbons is Alkene, which makes option A the correct answer.

N.B: I hope someone is not mistaking Alkyl for Alkyne? Please they are not the same thing. The answer would have been controversial if we had alkene and alkyne in the options.

I hope this further explains it.

Thank you

Alkyne is more unsaturated than alkane, it should be the ans, though both of them cwn declourise bromine water.
