blue is correct. Why?

Litmus turns blue in an alkaline medium because the alkaline solution donates electrons to the litmus dye, causing it to change its molecular structure and appear blue.

The answer is very correct.
When red litmus paper is dipped in an acidic solution it stays red but when it is dipped in an alkaline solution it will turn blue.
