oxd. no of Na=+1
oxd. no of O2=-2
Na2SO3=1x2+S +(-2x3)=0
S +2-6=0
S -4=0
S=+4
:. oxd. no S in Na2SO3 =+4
NOTE:you may say how do I know its Na2SO3. I tested it one by one but if you are familiar to your textbook you may not have to struggle.
