My School is correct, and E: NaF is the correct answer

NaF is an ionic compound, consisting of a sodium cation (Na+) and a fluoride anion (F-). The electronegativity difference between sodium (0.93) and fluorine (3.98) is relatively large, resulting in a significant transfer of electrons and a high ionic character.

Although, both AlF3 (aluminum fluoride) and CsF (cesium fluoride) are ionic compounds, the electronegativity difference between Aluminium/Ceasium and Flourine is not as large as in NaF.

The correct answer is:

D. CsF (Cesium Fluoride)

Explanation:

Ionic character depends on the difference in electronegativity between the two elements in the compound. The greater the difference, the more ionic the bond.

Fluorine (F) is the most electronegative element (3.98 on the Pauling scale).

Cesium (Cs) is one of the least electronegative metals (0.79 on the Pauling scale).

The electronegativity difference between Cs and F is the highest among the given options, making CsF the most ionic compound.

For NaF: 3.98 - 0.93 = 3.05
for CsF: 3.98- 0.79 = 3.19

D is valid ✅

the ans is csf, caesium is most electropositive element and flourine most electronegative, so they are supposed to be the strongest bond of all substances
