Coal gasification is the process of

producing syngas –a mixture consisting

primarily of methane (CH 4 ), carbon

monoxide (CO), hydrogen (H 2 ), carbon

dioxide (CO 2 ) and water vapor (H 2 O)–from

coal and water, air and/or oxygen.

Gasification is a process that converts organic- or fossil fuel-based carbonaceous materials into carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. This is achieved by reacting the material at high temperatures (>700 Β°C), without combustion, with a controlled amount of oxygen and/or steam.

Syngas, or synthesis gas, is a fuel gas mixture consisting primarily of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and very often some carbon dioxide. The name comes from its use as intermediates in creating synthetic natural gas (SNG) and for producing ammonia or methanol. Syngas is usually a product of gasification and the main application is electricity generation. Syngas is combustible and often used as a fuel of internal combustion engines. It has less than half the energy density of natural gas.

gasification of coke don't only produce producer gas.....but producer gas nd water gas..both r synthetic gases

There re two possible answers here A and C.
Producer gas is a mixture of CO, H2 and N2 or possibly CO2
While Synthesis gas is a mixture of CO and H2.
Perhaps, look up the meaning of gasification of coke and u'll see that it involves air which qualifies more on option "A" being the answer... Producer gas as it contains N2 which is also present in air.
Moreover, gasification of coke can still produce syngas but Producer gas is more close... πŸ‘
