The answer is D all of you... They actually wanted to write “reduce the melting point of ice” which is correct because impurities reduces melting point and increases boiling point, be guided

the salt makes the ice impure thereby decreasing the melting point
ABEG C is d correct answer

When salt is added to ice, it lowers the freezing point of water by reducing the amount of ice that forms at a given temperature. This is due to the phenomenon of freezing point depression.
The presence of salt ions makes it more difficult for water molecules to form a crystal lattice structure and freeze into ice. As a result, the freezing point of the water is lowered, allowing it to remain in a liquid state at temperatures below 273K.
impurities increase the boiling point and lower melting or freezing point

In countries where the temperature falls below 273K(0°C), salt is commonly sprinkled on icy roads in order to lower the melting point (or freezing point) of the ice.
