just use the mole formula in stoichiometry.
Mole= Volume occupied/Molar Volume at stp. i.e 1.12dm^3/22.4^3 =0.05mole.
Note that Mole is also = mass(g)/molar mass.
Make Mass subject of formula since u av mole to be 0.05 nd molar mass to be 35.5*2(Cl2 i.e Chlorine gas).
Therefore,Mass(g)= Mole*Molar mass i.e 0.05*(35.5*2)
Mass= 0.05*71=3.55g.

That's right...really confusing though....Cl2...(Chlorine gas) 35.5 x 1.12/22.4 =1.77...recall, chlorine gas has 2atoms(molecules) then multiply ur answer by 2 which gives 3.55
