The ans ought 2 b (C). Cos d que says mercury 1 (i.e valency of 1) while dioxonitrate III has a valency of -1 [i.e 3 + (-2x2) = -1]

The ans is HgNO2. The atoms of Hg and NO2 were only multiplied by 2. Hence Hg2(NO2)2
