Hydrolysis happens when a salt reacts with water to produce 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
KEY RULE (very important):
A salt will undergo hydrolysis if it is formed from:
𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱 + 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲
𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱 + 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲
BUT:
Strong acid + Strong base → NO hydrolysis
A. AlCl₃ and NH₄Cl
(Correct)
AlCl₃ comes from: 𝗛𝗖𝗹 (𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱) + 𝗔𝗹(𝗢𝗛)₃ (𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲)
NH₄Cl comes from: 𝗛𝗖𝗹 (𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱) + 𝗡𝗛₃ (𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲)
That means both undergo hydrolysis
Option B and C has NaCl and KCl respectively and both of them do not undergo hydrolysis while the two compounds in option D (Na₂SO₄ and K₂SO₄ ) both from strong acid + strong base so, no hydrolysis at all.

the question said pairs of salt which means that the two salts has to undergo hydrolysis. salts formed from strong acid and strong bases do not hydrolyze and examples are in option b, c, d - Nacl, Kcl and k2SO4
