wrong
Acid rain results when sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NO2) are emitted into the atmosphere and transported by wind and air currents. The SO2 and NO2 react with water, oxygen and other chemicals to form sulfuric and nitric acids.

Can we call this a typographical error or what ?. Candidates who are looking forward to A1 may be proned to B2 while learning one or two things here. :. Please try to confirm before posting. Thanks

The correct answer is:
D. HCl and SO₂
Why?
Acid rain is mainly formed from two gases:
Sulphur dioxide (SO₂) → forms sulphuric acid (H₂SO₄) in the atmosphere
Nitrogen oxides (NOₓ, especially NO₂) → form nitric acid (HNO₃)
