Here is an explanation:

According to the question, we were asked to state the name of the outcome of hydrogenation of butene.

Butene is an alkene family compound formed by the removal of one hydrogen atom from the parent alkane...

And HYDROGENATION ID DEFINED AS THE ADDITION OF HYDROGEN TO A COMPOUND.

Hence if butene is havin the formula C4H9 hence if a H-atom is added it becomes C4H10 i,e a member of the alknane family called butane... Thanks
