Lets say P, Q, R, S are potassium (k), sodium (Na), calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) respectively ( according to the electrochemical series).
since Na metal(Q) is more reactive than Mg metal (S), Na (Q) will easily displace Mg from from its compound to form Na ion (which is postively charged). The more reactive metal will displace a less reactive metal from its compound. So that why B is the answer🙂

In the question, it can be seen that P is more reactive than Q, which is more reactive than R, and R is more reactive than S. Hence if S(a positive ion) is paired with a negative ion, and the compound reacts with R ,it would be displaced by R and R would become a positive ion. The same would happen when Q reacts with a compound containing R and S. It would also happen when P reacts with Q,R and S.
