i think the solving is wrong cause if we r using 0.04×100 meaning the number of mole substance is supposed to be 0.4 as written in the question nt using 0.04(if u calculate 4÷100=0.04,and 4 wasn't given in the question)
mass=mole×molar mass
mass=0.04(as d question states)× 100g=40g

n=cv
n=mass\molar mass
mass\molar mass=cv
mass=cv*molarmass
from the question, c=0.4mol/dm3, v=100dm3, molarmass= 100g/mol
mass=0.4*100*100
mass=4000g
mass= 4kg
not in the options though🤔🤔😡

is correct the answer is 4g
0.4mole prodces 40g @ 1000dm3
what is the mass at 100dm3
40g=1000dm3
x=100dm3
x= 40×100/1000= 4g.
the mass will decrease as volume decreases..
therefore the concentration of the at 4g is 0.04mole..
