Cr2-mean that Cr has two extra electrons. While the o.n of Cr CrO4 2- is x+4(-2)=-2. x-8=-2 x =8-2=6 The o.n of Cr is +6 which means Cr is 6 electrons deficient. Therefore Cr lost 8 electrons.

Cr + 4(-2) = -2, Cr = -2 + 8 =6. therefore it will have to lose 8 electrons, first to attain O.N. of 0 and then +6

My School errors are to much and some students wont go the extra mile to check if the answers, thus causing them to use such answers in the actual exams. Which will reduce their score.
