Recall that from the equation that it is two moles of H2 that is reacting with 02 to produce steam and liberate 571.7kj of energy.
The 2 moles of H2= 2×(1×2) = 4g.
So if 4g of H2 = 571.7kJ
Then 8g if H2= X.
Cross multiply and make x the subject of formula you will have that
X = (571.7×8)÷4
X= 1143.4kj then put back your negative sign because it's an exothermic reaction.
Therefore we have -1143.4kj as the ans which makes option C correct
