@my school please review this the general method for preparing acid is by dissolving acid anhydride in water it is very common, for example temporary hardness of water is caused by CaHCO3 and it is formed by Saturating lime water with CO2 which is an acid anhydride, remember acid anhydride are oxide of non metals which dissolves in water to form acid, examplea
H2O+SO2.......H2SO3
H2O+SO3........H2SO4
H2O+CO2.....H2CO3
H2O+PO4²-....H2PO4
ETC
now that of the constituent element is not common for example
H+. +Cl-.........HCl
H+...+SO4²-......H2SO4
H.....NO3-...... HNO3
etc during the preparing of salt we don't usually use direct combination but rather we use neutralization reaction or displacement of weaker salt by strong acid
we know the combustion of hydrogen with bromine in the presence of charcoal as catalyst produces hydrogen bromide which later dissolves in water to produce hydrobromic acid but the question is asking of the general method which is the dissolution of anhydride in water
