Guys....ammonium chlorides is well known 4 its sumblinity... Just lyk iodine

Wen talkn of sublimation, it is a process by solid change 2 gas witout changing 2 liquid b4 gas

i have see alot of contribution about NH4CL,if it's decomposition or sublimation,but am adding this

decomposition is the breaking down of organic(natural) substance into smallest particle
sublimation is the changing of solid to gas without changing to liquid

NH4Cl ~~~~ ammonia(NH3) + Hydrochloric(HCl)
when NH4Cl is heat it sublime and later it decompose to form two gas which are NH3 and HCl

NOTE:NH3 decompose in nitrogen cycle not sublime.And also,in that question,it said that cloudy deposit,that means liquid is involve in that process and sublime does not deal with liquid

.'. DECOMPOSITION is the answer

sublimation is the phenomenon where a substance in its solid state changes to its gaseous state.. the solid changed directly to gas.. therefore, it underwent sublimation.

I think d ans is decomposition becos its de process by which big compound break to simpler substance by application of heat!
e.g AB=>A + B(d formula)
from d question;
*heat was added
*the compound split to two gases,one of the gases evolve while d other settled at the tip of the test tube.
(heat is not primarily required for sublimation!)

D ans is sublimation cos d solid dnt undergoes liquid state b4 changin 4rm solid to gas

The answer is B. Sublimation. This occurs due to the presence of vanderwaals forces in the crystals.

the correct answer is actually thermal decomposition
because it changes into two different gases and can still be gotten back again because it's a compound

Yes altering a solid particles into gaseous state without physical liquid changes

B is correct

I think the answer is E. decomposition bcoz new substance is been formed and as the question said, it separate into two gases

Sublimation is a process where by a solid state change to gaseous state with out passing liquid state,eg iodine,ammonium chloride
