Option B is not correct because its is the same compund as the reference. In naming you use the longest chain rule nthere both the reference and option B is 3-methylpentane which are NOT isomers. therefore Option D is correct because it is 2-methylpentane which is an isomer of 3-methylpentane

Check option B and D their are both correct that's their both isomers of the question...the question is C6H14 while option B and D are also C6H14

What are you saying? There both isomers. But D is another isomer

Sorry to say guys but in naming of an organic compound you number the carbons from right to left not left to right.

So the correct name for the compound in option D is 4Methylpentane.

option B is more correct cos d name of d compound given is 3methylpentane and dat of option B Is also 3methyl pentane buh option D is 2methyl pentane
