the answer I one because during reaction it can release only one hydrogen ion(acidic property) not minding if it's in front or at the back cuz it's terminal

Emmanuel explained it properly.... hydrocarbon has only one replaceable hydrogen atom so they are monobasic.. in other words they will lose hydrogen from the side with one hydrogen attachment..
